Karate Kid: 4th Degree Black Belt
Max is new to The Drum Set Coach team. He has been playing drums from the moment he entered the world, 14 years ago. His drumming activities involve playing in youth Pop Rock & Praise bands, video recordings for TDSC online and TDSC Academy, and runs the TDSC merch store.
He has taken instruction from Jim Riley (Rascal Flatts), John Ramsay (Berklee Perc. Dept. Chairman), Mark Walker (Grammy Winner, Lyle Mays, Arturo Sandoval, Berklee Professor), Tony "Thunder" Smith (Jeff Beck, David Sandborn, Berklee Professor), Neal Smith (Anita Baker, Berklee Professor).
Max is a full time student at TDSC and has completed the equivalent of 3 semesters of a college performance major. In addition to drums, Max has earned 5 youth black belts in Goju-Ryu Karate.
